History of OPF

The annual Orlando Puppet Festival traditionally takes place in the fall and has featured a mix of live theatrical performances geared towards either adult or family audiences. Conceived in 2005 by IBEX Puppetry founder Heather Henson to foster community interest in the art of puppetry, OPF is currently curated and hosted by Pinocchio's Marionette Theater, a year-round, purpose-built puppet theater in the Altamonte Mall, for a weekend of entertainment presented by performing artists from around Central Florida.
